The Port Icebreaker will be built to assist the LNG-tankers in Port of Sabetta in the Peninsula of Yamal, Russia. The icebreaker will be delivered 2018.
Aker Arctic has developed an icebreaker concept Aker ARC 124 and SDS Aura designed the hull structures based on the concept and according the rules of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. Icebreaker will be able to operate year-round in 2 meter thick ice.
